11th January- Elms Residential Care Home

The Elms Residential Care Home in Bilston has recently closed and the staff their were looking for new roles. The Wolves at Work team contacted our Job Match team to work with the Elms staff to find them another suitable role in care at another care provider in the area.

Our Job Match team reached out to care providers in the area to ask them to send in their job vacancies especially for this event, which had many experienced care staff looking for new work.

Our members responded fantastically, sending in numerous different roles, allowing our Job Match team to match the Elms staff with new roles, to mantain these workers in the sector.

9th February - The Wolverhampton Civic Centre

The Proud to Care team were invited by the Wolves at Work programme to exhibit at their Careers, Skills and Jobs drop-in event at the Civic Centre and to promote our local job vacancies in the area to potential candidates.

The team met candidates of a wide range of ages and experience, with many taking a keen interest in the roles available on the Proud to Care website and one of our Job Match team, Raj Kaur, was there to attempt to match them with the perfect role.

7th March - Solihull College and University Centre

The team delivered our very own Adult Social Care Careers Fair in partnership with Solihull Council and the college, attracting approx 200 candidates throughout the day, who were keen to meet our 25 care provider exhibitors and to hear about a role in care.

One-to-one interviews spaces were made available throughout the day and these were in full use by care providers, keen to grab the talent available throughout the day.

We had some amazing feedback from exhibitors and candidates:

Care provider- "It was really well organised and ran, there has been alot of attendance and it has been a really good event."

Candidate- "I absolutely, loved the whole experience. The companies were friendly, the staff were amazing in directing you towards to right place.
Overall glad I went."
